World Indoor Bowls 2017

The Just World Indoor Bowls Championships commence tomorrow (Thursday 12th January) at the Potters Leisure Resort in Norfolk.

I will be officiating at the event from Saturday 21st for the final week of play leading up to the Open Singles Final on Sunday 29th. We have an excellent team of Officials working the 18 day tournament two of which are making their World Championship debut; Dan McManus from Scotland and Tony Hatch from England. The usual old faces of myself and Mike Davies will also be joined by Francis Fletcher and Dan Bluett from England and Tom Weir from Scotland (the Shot Clock Guru!)

All of the matches played on the famous Portable Rink will be streamed live from the afternoon of  Friday 13th January on the World Bowls Tour Website. Then from Monday 23rd our good friends from the BBC will be broadcasting live throughout the week.

So enjoy the matches, I will see you on the rink on the second week. In the meantime take a look at the Potters Bowls Blog for a short interview article where I answer questions on the best match i've ever umpired, players holding grudges and more.
